Minimum $5 for !ANY! transactions, over-sweet iced latte

This was my third stop in 4 coffee shops in the area this day, so I wanted a plain espresso to be able to directly compare with other shops. For a $1 single shot, I'm not going to pay $5 just so I can use my card.

Anyway, I opted for an iced "milky way" drink. It was made from what seemed like a cold brew, not an espresso. There was WAY too much syrup in it, so I couldn't taste any coffee and it tasted like a straight chocolate milk. I was fairly disappointed after dropping $6 on it.

Great coffee, espresso, and teas. Good place to go to listen to live music (when a band is there; always ask the barista for who is playing next!). It's very quiet when no bands are playing, which makes it a good place to study or relax. Very friendly employees, and regular customers.

Far out! I would give the coffee here 5 stars and the service 2 stars. This shop is super cool and chill- the psychedelic decorations and vibe are a lot of fun, not to mention the huge menu of drinks. I got a toffee nut latte that was simply amazing. However, there were not many people in line ahead of us (5 maybe) and it took nearly 25 minutes for us to get our drinks.

The vibe was very much on par with the overall yellow springs feel; however, the coffee itself wasn't very great. Good place to go if you want to sit and read or catch up with friends. If you're actually going to have a good cup of coffee though, I wouldn't recommend it. The latte I had tasted burnt with lots of flavoring to try and cover up that taste.

I know that it's partially my own fault for not carrying cash, but who from the younger generation carries cash anymore?

I'll have to think twice before I come back again.

What really turned me off about the place was that the minimum card purchase was $5. I would understand that on a credit card where the retailer does not get to keep the entire transaction amount (the credit card companies/banks get around 3%), but for a debit card to have that as well is annoying.

I am not sure if I just came by around the wrong time of the day/week (it looked like it was the town's food truck festival), so it was busy and I had a wait a little, but that's not a big deal.

Nice coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere. Lots of room to sit and work. The chai tea didn't have much flavor and tasted pretty watery.
